MINE WASTE/TAILINGS DISPOSAL

Low-moisture pipeline transportation of mine waste/tailings to ponds or fill areas facilitates design of smaller, more efficient impoundments and minimizes or eliminates water re-handling and treatment.  Transportation is achieved with no free water at moisture contents in the range of 5% to 30%, depending on the size and absorption of the solids.

MINE BACKFILLING/SAND FILLING/STOPE FILLING

Provides an alternative process and a low-moisture content fill material, with no free water, for filling underground voids and stopes, or other mine workings in abandoned or active mines and naturally occurring cavities.  The process minimizes or eliminates water re-handling, providing for substantial cost reductions compared with conventional methods.  Allows for pipeline transportation and disposal operations to be conducted in geographic areas of low water availability.

SOLIDS TRANSPORT

Provides a low-cost transportation method for moving granular pit waste at sand and small aggregate or quarry operations.

TUNNEL ANNULUS GROUTING/BACKPACK MATERIAL

A-100 mixtures are ideal for filling the annular void space between a tunnel liner and the excavated rock. Permeable or impermeable mixtures are available.

MINE ADIT AND SHAFT CLOUSURES

Underground mine openings to the surface can be effectively and efficiently closed using an A-100 mixture as a backfill material or by forming and pouring a closure structure to prevent future access.
